    Weld, fabricate and assemble motor parts in accordance with customer specifications, company guidelines and checklists.

    Responsibilities

    Welder III (1st and 2nd Shift)                         Muncie 

    Weld, fabricate and assemble motor parts in accordance with customer specifications, company guidelines and checklists.

     

    Key Job Elements

    • Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with safety policies
    • Pull parts according to bill of material sheets and layout blueprints to manufacture orders
    • Weld large and small components per blueprint using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques on mild and stainless steel
    • Measure with micrometers and other precision tools
    • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts
    • Complete production related documents legibly without error
    • Follow Quality Work Instructions
    • Work around overhead cranes and mobile equipment
    • Work on varied surfaces (concrete floors, gravel, dirt, railroad tracks)
    • Constant standing, walking; frequent bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching
    • Push/pull up to 150 lbs.; carrying up to 50 lbs.
    • Perform production mechanic duties and other duties as required by Supervisor

    Qualifications

    Welder III (1st and 2nd Shift)                         Muncie 

    Weld, fabricate and assemble motor parts in accordance with customer specifications, company guidelines and checklists.

     

    Education / Training

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

     

    Qualifications and Experience

    • 1-3 years of industrial welding experience
    • Must pass AWS welding test
    • Understands all aspects of burn, cutting and plasma cutting
    • Capable of welding vertical, horizontal and overhead positions
    • Read precision instruments and gauges
    • Capable use of hands and power tools, including pneumatic tools
