Continental Inc is seeking OTR experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a Kokomo based flower distributor. The right candidates will have at least 2 years’ experience, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and ability to be gone up to 5 days a week and the ability to schedule your own delivery appointments. If traveling to West Coast out 11 days and off 3 days (this is the most time that would be spent out).
Average 22,000 miles a week with $ .50 per mile and a $50 cell phone per diem.

Drives truck to destination to deliver products to customer.
Inspects trucks for defects and safe operating conditions, submit written report of operating conditions of tractors and trailers.
Insure that all shipment documentation; such as manifest, security seal sheets, bills of lading, shipping orders, freight bills, are available for inspection when delivered.
Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including drivers' logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law.
Maintains telephone contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Assist in unloading truck at customer location.
Performs duties in accordance with all Federal, State, local regulations, company policies and procedures for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Performs emergency roadside repairs such as installing light bulbs and tire chains.
Reports all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
Reports highway safety hazards noted in route.
Promptly reports any delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies, and any irregularities related to the pick up or delivery of cargo.
Perform other duties, as required.
The employee must meet or exceed the medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation and must satisfactorily pass drug screens as required.
Acceptable motor vehicle record, working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems, knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and transportation of hazardous materials.
